Humans = Technology

Great article in The Atlantic, making a point that to be human is to constantly improve and build upon previous technology.

Rather than misdirecting our efforts pursuing an impossible and hazy dream of the natural, we can fight to reshape our tools to align with our social goals, realizing that part of what it is to be human is to use, make, and remake tools.

This about this in the context of how music is made. Why should we keep making it the old way? Is there a right or wrong way to make music, or simply older and newer ways? Discuss.
